The area boasts a very stable Mediterranean climate with approximately 300 sunny days a year. The summers are hot and the winters mild.

 

The airports of Alicante and Valencia are at only a 1 hour drive away.

 

The house (indicated on the map below as 'Casa de la Fuente') is conveniently located 100 meters away from the main coastal road connecting Moraira to Benissa Costa to Calpe. Along this road only you find many restaurants, a large supermarket (Pepe la Sal) with a wide variety of international products, a pharmacy, a bank and more. At 600 meters you find the pebble beach of Cala Baladrar with its relaxing beach bar.

 

The sandy beach of the old fisherman´s village Moraira (Cala de L'Ampolla) is at only 5 minutes drive North via the lovely coastal road. The authentic villages Benissa and Moraira are about 5 km away, in their narrow streets you will find more shops, bars and restaurants.
 

At 10 minutes’ drive South you find Calpe with its impressive Rock Pinon de Ifach (it is declared a Natural Park and you can climb it!). This seaside resort features spacious sandy beaches and a lovely boulevard for a walk.

 

Along the coastline there´s a beautiful walking path (with many stairs) providing access to all the secluded bays along the coastline.

There are many other beautiful bays in the area, the white sandy bay of Moraira El Portet for example is exceptionally beautiful.

Nice trips nearby include the old centre and Arenal beach of Javea, the Fonts Algar waterfalls inland or one of the theme parks or the zoo of Benidorm but for a day full of culture, you can easilly drive to the beautiful cities of Valencia and Alicante.
